Although the game is not based on the movie of the same name, it features villains from the film, and other characters from the Marvel universe.
In doing so, however, Peter comes across a much larger threat to New York City that has turned the underworld upside-down. In keeping with the Spider-Man franchise, the game follows Peter Parker, also known as the vigilante Spider-Man, who now sets out to find the killer of Dennis Carradine, the man who murdered Peter’s Uncle Ben. Its various editions were developed by different developers, with Beenox handling most of the platforms, High Voltage Software handling the 3DS version of the game, and Gameloft handling iOS and Android versions of the game.
The Amazing Spider-Man 2 is a sequel to 2012’s The Amazing Spider-Man.
